For my March 2022 update, I have continued my work on the main project, as well as the other side modules that we have been doing. For this Creative Futures module, I have been working on business card designs, I updated my CV which i had made before, but I improved it after I was inspired by one of the CV's presented as previous year examples during a tutorial presentation. Business card design

I have been looking at other people's business cards and online preset pre-made business card templates to gather some inspiration and information. I looked at old business cards on ebay.com, from the 1930s, since most of my work is focused around that era and art-deco style. I also looked at old post cards to see if I could use my city project renderings as sort of mini post cards, with the back side being my business contact info instead. I will try this later.

For the time being, for my final design draft submission, I ended up going with a more minimalistic vintage design. The most detailed aspect of the design being small visual examples of my 3D models.

For my final designs at the end of the year I will consider expanding the idea of creating post card style cards as well, and see which one works better. Until then, I am happy with this minimalistic design. Here is a potential post-card style business card design:

CV Design

My CV I have had for years, but not much has changed, since I do not actively work jobs or work with the industry, at least not yet. I decided to add a 3D rendering of one of my personal favourite 3D models I've done, and I think i am happy with it, i don't think much needs to change.

Design deck

For the design deck, I have been looking at other games' pitch decks, that showcase their art directions, styles, and UI designs, even concept art. My favorite one that I've found so far and the one that has given me most inspiration to create my own is that of Bioshock (2005) https://slidebean.com/templates/bioshock-game-pitch-template I will be using this, among others, as a guide for my own, so I know the direction I need to go. I think once I get around to pitching my project after graduation, I will do a full in-depth pitch deck, but for this year's graduation project, I wish to create and finish most of the street I've been creating as the demo level, and then use that to perfect a small visual demonstration, with animated vehicles, pedestrians, a simple user interface graphics, icons and menu ideas. I will combine this into a design deck or separate blog post, for easy access and viewing. End of Year Show For the EOYS I have just been attending the weekly meetings online with my course mates, listening to them discuss the plan for the actual show itself, while just planning on my own online presence, since it looks like I will have to send in my media and work to my course mates over the internet, as I will be stuck in Latvia for the foreseeable future. I have a twitter presence, and ArtStation presence, but that is about it. I will be including these in my end of the year show content. As well as more finished content from my actual final cinematic.
